APRIL FIFTH 4529 HARDEST OF THE HARD TO GETAIN'T SEEN NOTHING LIKE ME YET “Oh come on!” she shouted at the video game she was playing on the large screen on the bridge. The ship was on autopilot, she’d plotted the course herself so they’d make it to Lenora before they ran out of fuel. She put her hand on her hip and stared at the screen before she snorted and shut it down, letting the screen go to the endless sea of stars. She was on watch--- and she didn’t mind that when the games worked right.
Gen dropped into the captain’s chair and kicked up her feet, grabbing her magazine. It was late night watch, she had wanted to go and do something else but Gray was off getting lost in the cargo hold she had to snort. Even if she used flashing arrows to show him where to go, she was sure he’d still get lost. That thought made her grin, it wasn’t that the captain was inept or anything he just couldn’t navigate his way out of a paper bag.
“Augh I can’t read this anymore.” She threw the magazine across the bridge and rolled onto the chair to where her butt was sticking out and she was propped on the chair, frowning, Gen leaned over the arm and whined. “I’m so bored!”

Gray had to go down to check on some supplies and make sure that they were stocked up before they landed on the next planet. He wanted to make sure that everything was running smoothly. The life of a pirate was not exactly the easiest as some people thought. It wasn't plundering and pillaging like other people thought. It was more than that. Everything had to be in place for the next mission, the next battle. If they weren't things could go horribly wrong and he took it upon himself to check to make sure everything was in place.
Still, it took Gray longer than most people to get anywhere on the ship. The paths were straight forward to the cargo hold, but yet, he still wound up turned around in the completely wrong place or inside of a closet. It was his poor sense of direction and no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't seem to get anywhere. That was why he had other people do it for him. Otherwise, they would be lost in space until they ran out of fuel.
So, once he checked on everything, he decided to head up to the bridge. Thankfully, he had only found himself turned around once. He need to get better at that, otherwise the crew might mutiny on him for his lack of direction... quite literally. As he approached, he heard a familiar voice shout out and he smirked. "Well, then do your job and you wouldn't be bored." He stopped beside the chair and glanced down at Gen. "And who said you could sit there?"
(I'll code this in a little bit)

APRIL FIFTH 4529 HARDEST OF THE HARD TO GETAIN'T SEEN NOTHING LIKE ME YET Gen didn't even bother adjusting from where she was sitting to give Gray the bird, he was the captain sure but their relationship was anything but typical. He was close enough she tried to get him with her boot but missed by a long shot. "Ehhhh... too bored to come up with a good come back, you direction challenged monkey." Well maybe that was an alright come back. Gen shifted a bit and sprawled in his chair, legs out, arms splayed like she was spread eagle just to annoy him and she smirked, getting comfortable in the most uncomfortable way.
"You finally found the bridge and it only took you two hours, I should give you a medal now." It wasn't like she didn't like Gray, she actually did it was the fact that she liked him she had to be so mean to him. If she wasn't mean, people would get ideas and they were pirates. The last thing she needed was someone thinking she'd gone soft on the captain. Especially the captain.
"Chair is mine, I'm not sharing for awhile." she'd dubbed it the throne the moment she got onto the ship and she had, literally taken every opportunity to sit in it when he was in it or not.

Gray did not react to the fact that his navigator was flipping him the middle finger. There was no point in saying something to her, because he did not mind. Yes, he should have demanded more respect. He was the captain after all, but as long as they did their jobs, he felt more at ease treating them like family instead of just his crew. He did know when to draw the line, but there was nothing wrong with this after he had just walked in and called her out for not doing something productive. "Then, you must be bored all the time because all your comebacks suck." Childish, he knew that, but he wasn't the one trying to kick him now and missing.
He shook his head at her insult. It was a well known fact of his poor sense of direction and she was always the one to bring it up. "Maybe it took me two hours because I actually had work to do." He was not going to admit that there was a good chunk of time spent wandering around. She didn't need to know that. "If I didn't need a navigator. I'd push you out the airlock."
The way she claimed his chair was something that rubbed him the wrong way. He was slightly possessive about it, but apparently so was she. "Not yours. You're not the captain."

APRIL FIFTH 4529 HARDEST OF THE HARD TO GETAIN'T SEEN NOTHING LIKE ME YET The petite navigator just groaned at him and kicked at him with her booted foot, the chair was a touchy subject and it technically was hers. There had been times since they'd me that she had literally sat on him in the chair just so she could say she was in the chair. And well being on his lap wasn't even that bad of a thing was it? she gave him a bit of a smirk, and kept trying to kick at him. "You like me too much to drop me out an airlock," she quipped after a moment, knowing that it was only part true. She was probably meaner to him because of this annoying crush that she felt for him.
Sure he couldn't navigate his way out of a wet paper bag, and of course, if he was left to his own devices he'd get lost but Gen still kind of liked him. She could get her barbs in, snark and bite at him without a second thought-- he'd do the same back. "I'm not moving Grayson." she teased, using the full name she knew he hated. "So get off it. You're not even on duty, mon capitan."
Another tease, maybe, the more she bit and snarked at him the more she kind of liked him. If someone was going to get overly angry or cry about it Gen, would have ignored them. She couldn't handle anyone who was a wuss. Gray wasn't, not just being a pirate captain but just being who he was. And she kind of liked how sarcastic he was-- even if she was trying to kick him with her combat boot. "Do you need me to help you get to your quarters? Or have we almost mastered that route?"
