I thought that this might be a good conversation starter. People write in all kinds of places and I bet every one of us is a little bit different.
So, tell us about your favorite place to sit down and create!
I love to sit in the library, right in front of the windows. When I sit there I do have a tendency to get distracted easily. I get much more work done when I find a quiet chair buried in the stacks. =3

Well it all just depends. Some days like today when I have duty, I'm stuck on this boat for 24 solid hours, and I'll go up and sit on the flight deck to write. I have a little spot right beside the junkyard (spot behind the island) where I'll pop a squat on one of the catapults.
Normally though, when I get to pretend I'm just a normal guy, I'll chill out on the couch with the iTunes running. I have one of those sliding glass doors right next to the couch, so I can look outside as well. Granted, the ADOS (Attention Deficit Oh Shiny!) sometimes will kick in, but it still tends to be my best writing. Without music it is all but impossible for me to narrow my mind on writing and really capture my own style.

I actually do my best writing with pencil and paper, just about anywhere. I think my favorite thing to do though is to go on a drive somewhere and write in my car, which sounds cramped, but that's actually where I wrote a lot when I was younger and living with my parents (and I still write there sometimes, now that I'm back XP)

Outside, under an umbrella, at the pool.
Why yes, it was 104 degrees today. I also have 15 pages of work to show for it. And a mild sunburn.

I just made myself a nice little office out of my dining room. I never used it for eating, so I figured, why not? Now I have a wonderful little nook where I can work on things. ^_^
