Lieve Teminnick
let's start with the basics
[style=color:#6d4350; text-transform:uppercase;]name ::
Lieve Gieta Teminnicknicknames ::
Lieveage ::
23birthday ::
July 13hometown ::
Never says.address ::
Drifts from port-to-port, generally staying with any crew for only a few years at most. occupation ::
General hand/Infiltration/Brute[/style]don't dare try to judge me
[style=color:#6d4350; text-transform:uppercase;]but let me tell you what i look like ::
Lieve is 5’2’’, with brown hair, brown eyes, and darker Caucasian skin. She is small framed, but not delicate, made of solid muscle. However, she is not of a naturally toned build, making her over-all appearance generally healthy and soft, instead of athletic or threatening. Lieve tends to dress in affectionate tatters or clothing made from found fabrics and materials, a habit shown by many drifting space-farers without a solid cultural history. Often mistaken for a sort of gypsy, Lieve dresses for movement, not professionalism, but also has a delicate feminism to her look instead of sexualism, even when wearing revealing clothing.

that's just the way it is
[style=color:#6d4350; text-transform:uppercase;]i really like ::
Lieve, despite being a miserable green-thumb, loves plants. The smell of simple flowers will always bring a smile to her face and the strength in their fragility is always charming. She also loves to see the artisan crafts, such as quilting, sewing, painting, pottery, etc. Lieve has a particular love for crochet and lacework, a skill which she shares. Lieve also has a weakness for cheap engine room moonshine, though she rarely drinks. Lieve is someone who prefers a happy bustle or a peaceful quiet, but tense or rowdy chaos, like dive-bars, tend to be unfavorable. but i don't like ::
Lieve has no great love for engines, though she has a full skillset for basic repairs. Oil and engine grease are stains she could do without, instead of her lifeblood. Lieve dislikes shows of force for the simple satisfaction of their display, and she has little respect for brutes who strut with their ego without earning their respect. She dislikes fatty foods and processed nutrition packets. In an age of growing technology and wonder, she longs for something simple. i rock at ::
Killing: Her parents both specialized in death, for reasons she was never told, but the cost of their skill was a family constantly on the run. It is a specialty she will trade as a service when she must, but she rarely advertises it unless she’s desperate.
Contortion/Acrobatics: Linked with her skills as a killer, Lieve is a fantastic acrobat. She uses these skills for infiltration and stealth instead of performing, since she has a great dislike of being in the spotlight. It makes her an ideal thief for small items or information
Interpersonal Skills: Her favored strength is her ability to work with people of differing personalities and smooth feathers between aggressive crewmates. She is the peace-maker, willing to listen to all sides of an issue and assist in keeping cordial relations. She is not a preacher, but far more an empathizer, however she does have steel in her spine when pressed and is not one to be forced into any matter.
Problem solving: Lieve is quick on her feet and able to think outside the box during tense situations. More than simply using her own abilities, Lieve is good at remembering the skill sets of those around her and utilizing them in situations where they would be otherwise uncalled for.
Sewing/Crocheting/Repairs: Used to making do with what she found, Lieve’s wardrobe is primarily of her own making, and repaired several times over at that. She’s a fine hand with a needle or a hook and finds great enjoyment in her crafts.
but i can't seem to ::
Piloting: Lieve is no pilot and she has no love to press her to learn. She can man a helm well enough in smooth space to tell if the ship is flying straight, but she cannot handle maneuvers, much less docking or taking off.
Mechanical Invention: While Lieve can use her mechanical knowledge for short term McGyver-esque fixes, she is no inventor and certainly not an engineer. If an item needs to be created from scratch, she is not your girl.
Chess/Poker/Gambling: She stays away from them for a reason. She’s poor enough as is, and losing more money never helped anyone.
Haggling: It’s not that she can’t haggle, it’s simply that she hates it so much she’d prefer to pay a slightly inflated flat price than fight for the lowest. She leaves financial matters to Captains and other crew members, whenever possible.
Botany: For all her love for things green and growing, Lieve is not to be left alone with any gardens on-board.
i am afraid of ::
Lieve is aware her family was always running. She’s been separated from her parents for almost six years, still unsure of who they were before they were her family. She does know that both the Order of Assassins and the Peacekeepers have shown interest in her parents in the past. The idea of being found by the wrong people terrifies her, causing her to keep her head down and avoid flashier careers. you know i'm not normal ::
For someone who’s good at crime, Lieve is happiest in simplicity and honest living. She often seems an ill-fit in the hardknock underworld, but she’s also a soothing presence, despite her soft feel. i think i like ::
Boys.so if you want me ::
Lieve is less attracted to certain traits than she is utterly dismissive of others. but never ever ::
Someone who finds respect and strength only in brutality and their ability to intimidate others is immediately on her bad side, though she will not treat them with any overt hostility unless provoked. She dislikes those who are petty and unappreciative of those around them, and those who take their need to provide for themselves to parasitic levels. everyone has secrets ::
The fact she is always running. someday i'm gonna ::
Lieve’s dream is simple: being happy. One day, she would love to live on a place that never moves, with someone who will never leave, and never have to run. if i had to sum it all up ::
Lieve is a quiet strength that finds her own happiness in the harmony of those around her and her own stablity. She endeavors to help first and hurt only when she must. She knows strength is more than the ability to inflict harm. Lieve is not a loud or over-bearing personality, but she is stubborn and when push comes to shove, she is willing to do whatever it takes. None i'll always remember when ::
When Lieve was 8, she and her parents spent the evening at a carnival. Lieve was entranced by the fire-breathing lady with her beautiful braided and beaded hair. That evening, her mother brought out a long silver necklace and her father braided it all through her hair, making her look just as lovely as the lady at the carnival. For years, she would ask her parents to do her hair, even as she became a teenager. Lieve still has the simple silver chain. if i had to write an essay ::
Growing up on the run, Lieve has no roots to herald back to, leaving her with a very free-spirited identity she often has cause to change. Since home and belongings were always things that could be left behind, Lieve finds people far more important than material goods. Her family, as unanswered as her history is, will always have a warm place in her heart. When she was almost 18, she and her parents were separated during an attack. Lieve is unsure if her parents still live since there was a large explosion in the vicinity of their attack. She is also unsure if anyone is still following her, but she is unable to take the risk and keeps a low profile whenever she can. While she believes the group who found her family that night were bounty hunters, she has no idea who sent them and what their interests are.
For the last six years, she has been on her own, drifting from one faction to another looking for work. She stands out only as a ‘drifter’, though she did not grow up on the colony, often found distasteful by the more elite spheres who take greater notice of her for all the wrong reasons. For her own safety, she stays to the seedier levels of society where her need to protect herself is considered more commonplace.
